University of Helsinki Scholarship Programme 2027

University of Helsinki

Overview

About this opportunity

The University of Helsinki Scholarship Programme 2027 is a merit-based tuition fee waiver for excellent international students from outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland who are admitted to an English-language masters programme at the University of Helsinki in Finland. Scholarships are awarded as a 50% tuition fee waiver or a 100% tuition fee waiver, for the normative duration of the degree programme, and are requested by ticking the scholarship box in the admission application itself. English-language masters tuition fees are EUR 13,000, EUR 15,000 or EUR 18,000 per academic year depending on the programme, so a 100% waiver removes the tuition charge entirely, while a 50% waiver halves it. The scholarship covers tuition fees only: students are expected to cover their own living costs in Helsinki, and it does not pay for accommodation, travel or daily expenses.

Aalto University Excellence Scholarship 2027

The Aalto University Excellence Scholarship 2027 is a very limited, merit-based full tuition fee waiver for top-performing international students who are liable for tuition fees and are admitted to an English-taught masters programme at Aalto University in Finland. There is no separate scholarship form: you request the scholarship by answering yes to the scholarship question on your masters admission application in Studyinfo, during the 7 December 2026 to 5 January 2027 application period. The waiver covers the full tuition fee for the normative two-year masters study period, provided you study full time under an approved personal study plan, but programmes may decide not to grant any scholarships in a given round. Masters tuition fees are EUR 15,000 per academic year for business, EUR 17,000 for technology and listed multidisciplinary programmes, and EUR 20,000 for art and architecture. The scholarship does not cover living costs, which Aalto puts at at least EUR 800 per month, so living expenses must be funded from your own resources.

Karolinska Institutet Global Master's Scholarship 2027

The Karolinska Institutet Global Master's Scholarship 2027 is a competitive tuition fee scholarship for fee-paying international students admitted to one of Karolinska Institutet's Global Master's Programmes in Stockholm, Sweden. It covers the tuition fees for the entire study period, but it does not cover living costs, accommodation or travel expenses, so it is a tuition-only award and not a fully funded package. Applicants must first apply for an eligible KI masters programme through UniversityAdmissions.se, rank the KI programme as their first choice, and submit the programme-specific KI CV form. Two joint programmes are expressly excluded for this cycle: the Joint Master's Programme in Molecular Techniques in Life Science and the Joint Master's Programme in Biostatistics and Data Science. Because the scholarship application closes on 24 February 2027, before admission results are published, you must prepare the scholarship application while your admission application is still being assessed.
