Knight-Hennessy Scholars

Stanford University

Overview

About this opportunity

Knight-Hennessy Scholars is a multidisciplinary, multicultural graduate community at Stanford University. Scholars develop deep domain expertise in their Stanford graduate programme while taking part in the King Global Leadership Program (KGLP), funded by a gift from Dorothy and Robert King, MBA '60, which offers a diverse menu of leadership development programming that scholars fit around their academic schedules to strengthen their multicultural and multidisciplinary perspective.

Scholars receive funding for up to three years for any graduate degree at Stanford, including the JD, MA, MBA, MD, MFA, MS, DMA and PhD programmes. During each of the first three years, scholars receive a fellowship covering tuition and associated fees, a stipend for living and academic expenses such as room and board and books, and a travel stipend for one annual economy-class trip to and from Stanford. Newly enrolling scholars also receive a one-time relocation stipend, and scholars in their second and third years may apply for supplemental funds for academic enrichment. Denning House serves as the dedicated hub for the Knight-Hennessy community, where scholars convene, collaborate and share ideas. All Knight-Hennessy scholars apply and are selected through a separate Knight-Hennessy application alongside their application to an eligible Stanford graduate degree programme.

The Knight-Hennessy Scholars is a fully funded scholarship offered by Stanford University for applicants heading to United States.
